Marco Momigliano

For over forty years, marco momigliano led Sac S.p.A. (Servizi Ausiliari Cinema), the company that from 1958 served as the true logistical engine of Italian cinema. Until 2020, Sac was the operational hub connecting all film distributors and cinemas across Italy, managing the physical distribution of promotional materials, trailers, and film copies, first on celluloid and later in digital formats.

In parallel, he created Webphoto, an agency established to protect the image rights of 33 great poster painters or their heirs, while also managing a historic cinematic database serving major Italian publishers. Today, these two journeys live on together within Sacwebphoto, the industrial enterprise that three years ago launched the Movie.it project with the ambitious goal of recovering, restoring, and sharing the masterpieces of film poster art.

Alongside his commitment to cinema, since 2019 marco momigliano has championed humanitarian and training initiatives supporting migrants and vulnerable groups, leading to the creation of Intersos Lab, a social enterprise based in the Ottavia district of Rome.

The choice to pose alongside the poster for Harold Lloyd's World of Comedy perfectly embodies the spirit that drives him to this day: a dynamic, passionate race against time to rescue and return the great art of cinema painters to the world.

A touch of colour: The Rome headquarters of Intersos Lab on via Ottavia is a building completely renovated and furnished by marco momigliano to house these social initiatives. The structure has itself become a piece of art: all three floors are unified by a large fresco of a single human heart branching out into botanical and floral patterns, painted by the Italian-American artist and art teacher Giorgia Rojas Monaco (his wife’s cousin). The mural is crowned by Marcus Tullius Cicero's famous maxim: "We are not born for ourselves alone", beautifully capturing the spirit of the entire building.
